End of the 40s. Three women want to fulfill their dream: A concert in front of the Queen at Buckingham Palace. To do so, they have to win a singing competition. And that can only happen if Fräulein Wunder takes part! Rosa, a substitute German teacher, Käthe, a tailor with opera training and Hilde, a milker and yodeler, meet at an audition. A ladies' band is to be formed, as Captain John McGintley, the organizer of the "Anglo-German Swing Festival", emphasizes. A great challenge - not only for the three very different "German Frolleins".
With a wink, extremely humorous yet equally melancholy and touching, enriched with numerous songs from the 30s and 40s, Murat Yeginer tells a story that captivates the audience.
