We are organizing the following event in cooperation with Hospizkreis Lippstadt e.V.:
The topic of "self-determined dying" has long been the subject of controversial debate. With the ruling of the Federal Constitutional Court (BVG) in February 2020, which lifted the ban on assisted suicide, the debate has gained additional momentum.
Self-determined dying - lecture and exchange on perspectives at the end of life
Lecture with exchange - Dr. Rainer Prönneke, Braunschweig - Palliative physician and Chairman of the Lower Saxony Hospice and Palliative Care Association
Dr. Prönneke previously worked for many years as Head Physician at the Clinic for Internal Medicine and Palliative Medicine at the Marienstift Hospital in Braunschweig.
He has long been active as a volunteer in the hospice and palliative care sector in Lower Saxony and throughout Germany.
His broad experience in the healthcare sector and his in-depth knowledge of hospice care and palliative care for seriously ill and dying people will enrich the evening.
The following award should not go unmentioned: "High honor for decades of commitment to hospice and palliative work - Award of the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon to Dr. Rainer Prönneke"
