Born in Seoul, pianist Sarah (Seul A) Jeon studied in South Korea, Weimar and Mannheim, where she was trained in the concert exam with Prof. Wolfram Schmitt-Leonardy. She has won prizes at numerous international competitions, including the Mozart Competition Berlin (2nd prize), the Laszlo Spezzaferri Competition Verona (1st prize) and the Quebec International Piano Competition (1st prize).
Her concert program spans a wide range of musical history: from Scarlatti's concise, style-defining baroque music to Schubert's lyrical Impromptu in B flat major and Prokofiev's D minor Sonata, which established his unmistakable piano style. The program concludes with Brahms' expressive Piano Pieces op. 76 - an interplay between fiery capriccios and intimate intermezzi.
