Running Day - campaign by the Bad Sassendorf running club

"Running is healthy. Running makes you happy. And running can make the world a little better." - That's why the Day of Running will once again be celebrated throughout Germany on June 3. Clubs, running groups and private initiatives are inviting people to run together in the early evening. The Bad Sassendorf* "Bewegung im Grünen" running club will also be taking part. It starts at 6 p.m. at the Börde Therme.

It doesn't matter how fast or slow you run. The number of kilometers is not relevant either. Those who complete their first 500 meters are just as much a part of the running community as those who run 10, 15 or even 20 kilometers on this day. The important thing for the organizers is to show how big the running community is and that everyone is really welcome to run.

In Bad Sassendorf, personal trainer and running coach Bernd Schiermeister from Team Sauerland is looking forward to welcoming his runners and those who would like to join him on 3 June. Registration is possible by calling 0163-2580992 (also via WhatsApp).

In addition to health and the fun of exercise, the Day of Running focuses on a good cause: with their donations, the participants ensure that even more children and young people in Germany's clubs can grow up healthy with play and sport. All donations go to Plan International Germany. Our partner organization uses the donations to support sports clubs in their responsibility to help children and young people grow up healthy. The funds are used, for example, to finance the training and further education of coaches.
