Rockpommel's Band

After the band Grobschnitt gave their last concert in 2012 in the Gruga-Halle in Essen with their full "electric" line-up and have now been touring Germany as GrobschnittAcoustic Party with great success for several years, the six former band members have decided to present the music of Grobschnitt again with a large line-up under a new name.
As the rights to the name lie with the Acoustic Band, but they wanted to make it clear what their musical background is, they will give concerts as ROCKPOMMEL'S BAND to take their audience into long-lost spheres with the well-known cult music. As Meschede has always been a GROBSCHNITT stronghold, local concert organizer Gisbert Kemmerling has decided to invite the band to the Stadthalle on Saturday, 16 May 2026 from 8 p.m.
It becomes clear that they are not a cover or tribute band when you see who is all there. In addition to the "original Grobschnitter" Toni Moff Mollo on vocals, long-time bassist Milla Kapolke and drummer Admiral Top Sahne Möller, guitarist Manu Kapolke, keyboardist Deva Tattva and drummer Demian Hachen from the last Grobschnitter line-up are still there. New members include Kevin Hollmann on guitar, who shone for many years with the Grobschnitt tribute band Nebelreise, and singer ArminKrull, another influential figure in the Hagen music scene.
For many years,Grobschnitt was an extremely popular live band throughout Germany that was psychedelic, progressive and also influenced by hard rock. They were regarded as an innovative group that presented themselves with a mixture of theater, visual effects and long musical improvisations. They were also known for their clear social statements as supporters of the environmental and peace movements.
ROCKPOMMEL'S BAND has set itself the goal of bringing this unique, very special atmosphere back live on stage. In October 2025, the group gave two brilliant test concerts in their hometown of Hagen, which were not only sold out within a very short time, but were also celebrated frenetically and enthusiastically by the many fans who had traveled from all over Germany.
Tickets are now available at the tourist information offices in Bestwig and Meschede, as well as at CTS-Eventim. The concert is presented by the VELTINS brewery.
