Not everything that is broken has to be disposed of: At the Altena Repair Café, broken everyday items are often given a second life. Volunteers repair everything that can be worn - from electrical appliances and consumer electronics to watches, clothing and small items of furniture. The Repair Café takes place every last Thursday of the month from 3 pm at Burg Holtzbrinck. Registration is not required. Spare parts should be brought along if possible. The event has been running for over ten years and is organized by Stellwerk Altena. The aim is to conserve resources, share Wissen and connect people - true to the motto: "Repairing instead of throwing away."
