The focus is on the reading from the book "Ich bin todesmutig" by the author duo Benni Bauerdick and Mechthild Schroeter-Rupieper. With impressive and at the same time true-to-life texts, they approach a topic that often remains hidden but affects everyone.
Mechthild Schroeter-Rupieper is considered the founder of family grief work in Germany and co-founder of family grief work in Austria and Switzerland. She has decades of experience in supporting grieving families. Benni Bauerdick, a native of Lennestadt, is a presenter, reporter and also works as a grief counselor. Together they create the podcast "Todesmutig". In the podcast, as well as in the book and on this evening, they address the topics of loss, death, grief and the question of how to continue living.
The reading will be followed by a moderated discussion. Dr. Reinhard Hunold, Chairman of PalliativNetz Kreis Olpe e.V., will also be taking part alongside the author duo. Together, they will open up different perspectives on dealing with grief in life and in everyday life. Visitors to the event are cordially invited to take part in the discussions: Ask questions, share thoughts and contribute their own experiences. The evening is intended as an open space for exchange and encounters.
