We walk from the small, tranquil village of Neuhaus along the Hevetal, a 22 km long stream with its source in the middle of the Arnsberg Forest, which gave the valley its name.
Along the way, the information boards of the Life Project "Stream valleys in the Arnsberg Forest" give us some impressions of the special features of the Hevetal.
The aim of the Life project is to renaturalize bodies of water, restore the streams to their natural dynamics and create a near-natural water balance.
