Of course: the music world is celebrating the 200th anniversary of Johann Strauss's birth in 2025 - and so is the Neue Philharmonie Westfalen in the second part of this exciting concert program.
the first part of the evening shines with compositions by Gioachino Rossini, Camille Saint-Saëns and Jules Massenet. Highlights include Rossini's sparkling overture to the opera The Barber of Seville and Saint-Saëns' famous Danse macabre
, with Angela Simkin, whose breathtaking operatic interpretations are celebrated around the world, enchanting us as a radiant soloist. Under the direction of the young British conductor Harry Ogg, known for his innovative interpretations of classical works, the concert will be an unforgettable experience,
with Markus Wallrafen leading us through the evening in his usual charming and witty manner, whose moderations are always a highlight.
