On Friday, October 9, 2026, the “Long Night of Museums” will take place in the town of Warstein. This event is a collaboration between local cultural organizations and Stadtmarketing Warstein e.V. Admission to all museums is free that evening; six museums are participating in the event with the following program:

Haus Dassel, Viktor-Röper-Straße 2, Warstein-Allagen:
5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.: Self-guided museum tours
Starting at 5:00 p.m.: Design your own keychain (with Jana and Arne Bierhoff)
6:00 p.m.: Treasure hunt for children (elementary school age) and families with flashlights/headlamps
6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.: Guided tours of Haus Dassel

Chain Smith Museum, Möhnestraße 96, Warstein-Sichtigvor:
5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.: Blacksmith demonstrations every hour on the hour—wire bending for children

City Museum Schatzkammer Propstei, Am Propsteiberg 1, Warstein-Belecke:
5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.: Private museum tours
5:30 p.m.: Musical opening (training orchestra of the Belecke Music Association)
6:00 p.m.: Treasure hunt for children (elementary school age) with families
7:00 p.m.: Musical interlude (Training Orchestra)
8:00 and 9:00 p.m.: Special tours “The Provost’s Seat and Its Benedictine Heritage”

Stütings Mühle Historical Ensemble, Wilkestr. 1, Warstein-Belecke:
5:00–10:00 p.m.: Sawing and electricity generation using water power; “How did that work?”—tour of the tunnel bunker; guided tour of the Denkmal Kleiner Speicher

LWL Psychiatric Museum, Franz-Hegemann-Straße 23, Warstein-Suttrop:
Starting at 5:00 p.m.: Guided tours of the LWL Psychiatric Museum; information on selected exhibits, the Treise Chapel, and the services offered by LWL health care facilities in the Soest district

Haus Kupferhammer Museum, Belecker Landstr. 9, Warstein:
Starting at 5 p.m.: Children’s program with Elke Ibing: Crafting and painting Kupfi masks
Starting at 5:00 p.m.: Guided tours of the museum and the history of its former residents
Starting at 5:00 p.m. and every full hour: Multimedia presentation by Paul Köhler
Starting at 5:00 p.m.: Guided tour of the new exhibition “In Dialogue with Color/Line/Surface,” featuring abstract, contoured, and Warstein-inspired motifs, including oil paintings by Marietta Löer
