At the 3rd International Alphorn Meeting in Bad Waldliesborn, everything revolves around the fascinating sounds of the alphorn for three days. After two successful events in Rüthen, the meeting will take place in the spa town of Bad Waldliesborn for the first time. Alphorn players from different countries will come together and provide a special musical experience.
Program highlights:
Friday, 17.04., 20:00: Opening concert in the St. Josef Church
Saturday, 18.04.: Workshops and large community concert in the Kurpark with approx. 30-40 alphorn players
Sunday, 19.04., 9:30 am: Spa park mass
Sunday, 19.04., noon: Community concert in the spa gardens
In addition to the concerts, visitors will gain an insight into the tradition of alphorn blowing and the construction of the instruments, which can be up to four meters long.
