Born in China in 1998, pianist Haiting Ning has won numerous international prizes, including in Salzburg, Quebec and Italy. Concert appearances have taken her throughout Europe and Asia, where she has established herself as a versatile musician. In addition to her artistic career, she was involved in early music education in China and contributed to the introduction of the Pre-ABC of Pianistics textbook. After studying in Beijing, Weimar and Mannheim - most recently in the concert exam with Prof. Wolfram Schmitt-Leonardy - she successfully completed her training.
Her program invites you on a musical journey through time: From Scarlatti's contrasting sonatas and Bach's Partita with its dance-like movements to Liszt's Ballade, inspired by the tragedy of Hero and Leander. The finale is Busoni's virtuoso piano arrangement of Bach's famous Chaconne in D minor - a work that combines baroque depth with modern sonority.
