The artillery of the Evingsen Shooting Club organizes the"Firecrackers in honour of St. Barbara".
At dusk, the Evingsen artillery invites you to a "Come Together" on the upper Schützenplatz in honor of the patron saint of firecrackers and will fire firecrackers from various cannons in her honor.
Food and drink will be provided.
Since 2023, we have been firing 21 firecrackers over the village of Evingsen in the evening hours of December 4 in honor of our patron saint Saint Barbara.
According to ancient tradition, St. Barbara is the patron saint of all those who work with gunpowder and explosives. She is therefore also considered the patron saint of artillery and firecracker trains.
