Elisabeth Lohninger, described by the press as the "Kate Bush of jazz", is not afraid to cross boundaries to make music that is surprising, fresh and different. With a velvety, dark and deep voice, she represents the polar opposite of Freddie Mercury in purely vocal terms. And that's what makes it special, that certain something that suddenly penetrates through all-too-familiar lines of text. Together with her partner, pianist Walter Fischbacher, she has put together a full-length program, from the band's world-famous hits ("We Are the Champions") to obscure finds ("Cool Cat").
