There will be Doggy Days at the Westfalen Salt Mine Adventure Museum from 2025!
Your dogs are very welcome!

Companion dogs are always allowed - but what about our other beloved canine companions? As a dog owner, you probably know the problem: There are often restrictions when it comes to canine companions and such a day at home becomes long and lonely for the waiting four-legged friend. That's why we're introducing one afternoon a month in 2025 where you can experience the exhibition at
Westfalen Salzwelten together with your dog.

A day out with your dog
"Doggy Day" is now held on the first Thursday of every month at Westfalen Salzwelten. On these afternoons, dogs on a lead and their well-behaved companions have the opportunity to explore the museum's exhibition from 1 pm to 5 pm.

Tickets for Doggy Day
It is not necessary to register or book in advance for Doggy Day. You can simply drop by the box office and purchase tickets. Your dog will receive its own ticket for €2.

Doggy Tour on April 3, July 3 and October 2, 2025,
each at 2 p.m. - Unique guided tour with your dog

On selected Doggy Days, a guide - himself a dog enthusiast - will also take you through the exhibition together with your four-legged friend and show you tips on healthy nutrition for humans and dogs. The tour costs humans just €7.50 (plus admission tickets) and dogs a friendly wag of the tail. Please register two days in advance at
0 2921 94 334 35 or info@salzwelten.de.

Tip: Dog meadow and walk through the fields and meadows of Bad Sassendorf
Before or after your visit to the exhibition, you should definitely take your dog for a walk through our nature reserve and parks. You will discover fallow deer in the Freiherr-von-Wintzingerode Wildlife Park, the Rosenau stream in the Kurpark or the Woeste moorland near Ostinghausen. There is a choice of 10 designated circular trails in and around Bad Sassendorf.

The fenced-in dog meadow right next to the museum is a great place to let off steam with other dogs. We look forward to your visit!
