In a world that threatens to drift further and further apart, music is gaining great importance as a unifying force. Throughout the centuries, composers have explored what makes us human, the interpersonal. Longing, love, friendship, but also human conflicts find their echo in musical masterpieces. In cooperation with the Detmold University of Music and the Lennestadt Culture Week's master class for singing, the Philharmonie Südwestfalen presents a concert program full of vocal and instrumental highlights. The immortal love stories of Tristan and lsolde, set to music by Richard Wagner, and Romeo and Juliet, set to music by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, meet amorous incidents with far less fatal outcomes, such as the relationship between the Marschallin and the Rosenkavalier Octavian. Finally, humor is also something interpersonal. Virtuosity meets lyrical enthusiasm and drama. A treat for all the senses!
