Marie has many talents - but her greatest is choosing the wrong men. She only gets rid of her last bad choice, Sven, at the last moment: right at the wedding altar with a loud "no". Cured of her great love for the time being, she moves back under dad's roof. But new problems await there: Dad's quirks, his much too young mistress and a roof that urgently needs repairing. A carpenter is hired. The job goes to Joshua - attractive, strong and surprisingly sensitive. While Marie's sister Kata warns that there is something wrong with this strange craftsman, Marie has long been fascinated. Joshua sings strange songs on the roof and talks about events thousands of years ago that he claims to have been a part of. Things get even stranger on their first date: Joshua talks about his ancient father, shares bread with Marie and turns water into wine. She slowly realizes that Joshua is actually Jesus - and he is back on earth. But his return does not bode well. Because when Jesus reappears, the Last Judgement is imminent. While Satan is already on his way to usher in the apocalypse and take possession of Kata, Marie has only one chance: she must convince Jesus that humanity is not yet lost
