City cycling 2026

The town of Warstein is once again taking part in the international CITY CYCLING campaign this year and is calling on all citizens to actively participate. After the successful participation in previous years, the town would like to once again send a strong signal for climate protection, sustainable mobility and community.

The town of Warstein was already represented in CITY CYCLING in 2024 and 2025. Particularly pleasing: in 2025, the town of Warstein achieved a solid 7th place in the district of Soest with a total of 50,946 kilometers cycled. This result is set to be surpassed this year.
The campaign period runs from May 31 to June 20, 2026. Anyone interested can register now - whether as an individual, a group of friends, a club or a company. You can easily register online at: https://www.stadtradeln.de/warstein

CITY CYCLING is a nationwide campaign that aims to cover as many everyday journeys as possible by bike in a climate-friendly way within 21 days. The aim is to promote cycling, reduce CO₂ emissions and raise awareness of sustainable mobility. Every kilometer counts - whether on the way to work, school, shopping or in your free time. At the same time, the campaign shows how easy it can be to leave the car at home more often and switch to the bike instead. The more people take part, the greater the positive effect - both for the environment and for the quality of life in Warstein.
Parallel to CITY CYCLING, the town of Warstein is also taking part in the participation portal RADar! participation portal. Citizens can use this tool to easily report problems with cycling - for example potholes, missing signage or dangerous spots. The information reported is forwarded directly to the city administration and helps to improve the cycling infrastructure in a targeted manner.
