Singing makes you happy! Christmas Sing-Along at St. James Church
You never forget the Christmas carols of your childhood and family. Singing them—with a little help remembering the lyrics—warms the heart!
Goosebump-inducing moments without the stress, the joy of memories, the confidence that comes from your own voice, and a sense of community. Everyone is invited to join the open Christmas carol sing-along on Friday, December 11, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at Jakobikirche Lippstadt.
Sing along or just listen? Christmas carols are a staple of Advent, and in a large group, even the timidest voices are sure to find courage.
You can sing along not only to German songs but also to beautiful English and American carols, as the lyrics will be displayed on a large screen. And, of course, “Chant de Noël” as well.
If you have a request for a Christmas carol, please send us an email at postjakobikirche-lippstadt.de so we can prepare the lyrics.
Daniel Tappe will be at the piano, and Duan Li, Dagmar Liebscher, and Achim Gerth from the Jakobikirche Friends Association will host the event.
Of course, this event is free of charge. If you’d like, please make a small donation at the end to support the Friends Association’s fund, which we use to finance our Jakobi:Extra Concerts, such as the performance by Andreas Hermeyer and Annette Hartwig featuring a Friedrich Hollaender evening on March 13, 2027, or the Monet Quintet, which will perform its best encores on May 30, 2027.
