Long live the difference! Christine Schütze's current solo "So, she'd be too thin for me!" celebrates the subtle difference. For example, between saying and meaning, Wissen and understanding or between female and male (supposed) ideal types. At the center of the preoccupation with love and words, everyday life and the shells of language are all of us, the German language and all the things that can be done with it in an eloquent and piano-voiced way. Low German also plays a small role.
In one sentence: as a song at the end of the day, "Fidele Alte" show that the perfect man is pure relativity, even without night-vision goggles. Sounds puzzling? True, but it becomes clear in the course of the amusing and intelligent cabaret evening.
The press writes: "What is the secret of this top-class cabaret artist, who you would like to see again as soon as possible? Christine Schütze simply fulfills the high demands of sophisticated "cabaret" one hundred percent: professionalism, craftsmanship, originality, a connecting thread, individual trademarks and her own messages. Cabaret in a league of its own. Stimulating. Intelligent. Entertaining. Happiness for muses - and people."
Christine Schütze's current program "So, she'd be too thin for me!" has just been awarded the Lüdenscheid Lüsterklemme 2025 cabaret prize.
