When the four boys are on stage, the party starts - from rural Mississippi blues to 1930s boogie woogie and 1950s and 1960s rock'n'roll. "Boogie Woogie meets Rock'n Roll", that's the pianist Christian Christl with his vintage boogie piano, the twins Bastian (piano) and Benny Korn (drums) and the blues harper Christian Noll. Together they celebrate the roots of what we now call popular music.
Christian Christl has been touring the European blues and boogie world since 1986 and has already shared a stage with Ray Charles, Memphis Slim and B.B. King.
Bastian Korn on the rock'n'roll piano sings like the devil at the famous crossroads, while Benny Korn on the drums provides the groovy rhythm. Blues harper Christian Noll has learned his craft from many of the greats of Chicago blues and has already performed on stage with Sugar Blue, among others.
At the start of the "Saturday Night Jazz & Blues" series, we embark on a journey through time through musical America from 1900 to 1960. Look forward to a varied evening of wonderful, handmade music.
