"Iron glows" - this call of the blacksmiths will be heard at the Luisenhütte.
On this day, course participants will gain an insight into the blacksmith's trade before industrialization. In front of the Luisenhütte in Balve-Wocklum, at an open fireplace and with two anvils, they can make their own knife and a fire iron. The all-day introductory course of the Märkischer Kreis museums is aimed at children and their (grand)parents. Children should be at least 9 years old. In addition to forging, the program includes filing and grinding the workpieces. The course starts at 11 am and ends at 5 pm. The cost is 70 euros per pair, the cost of materials is included in the course fee.
