Bat evening at Lake Biggeesee

The "Nature Parks 24" event will take place again on May 23, 2026. A weekend to discover the fascinating diversity of the twelve nature parks in North Rhine-Westphalia.
In the Sauerland Rothaargebirge Nature Park, the largest nature park in Germany, you can join NABU Olpe in Attendorn on a search for native bats at the Biggesee lake. First of all, there will be exciting insights into the lives of these fascinating animals. The participants then build bat boxes together, which can be taken home and hung up in their own gardens.
The highlight of the evening begins at dusk: equipped with flashlights and special recording devices, the participants set off on a discovery tour to track down the mysterious hunters of the night. An exciting experience for young and old!
