Anniversary - 100 years of the Oberelspe fire-fighting group

On May 23, 1926, the Oberelspe Volunteer Fire Brigade was founded thanks to the efforts of local mayor Josef Börger and engineer Mackels from Meggen. Teacher Heinrich Pauly took over the management of the fire brigade. With 30 active and 46 passive members, exercises could already be started in May 1926.
