On this action day, visitors can get active themselves: Lead and zinc ores are crushed with a hammer and muscle power and then washed out with the help of a channel and running water. This allows visitors to experience first-hand how ore concentrates were extracted in the past. Once the work is done, participants can take the ore they have extracted home with them.
The event is open all day and invites you to join in and watch.
