Just like every year, Nina and Dirk have once again invited the family over for this year’s Christmas celebration. And now that Dirk has gone to the nativity play with the whole clan, Nina is staying home alone to prepare the Essen in peace—at least, that’s the official story. But in reality, she’d rather enjoy the “calm before the storm” a little longer. Just as she’s about to settle in on the sofa, however, the doorbell rings. Nina is taken aback when Santa Claus suddenly appears before her. Just as she’s about to send the intrusive Santa Claus away again, he turns out to be Nina’s attractive fitness trainer, Jonas, who tries to talk her into a quick fling on the spot. Although she’s not really in the mood for his advances on Christmas Eve, she figures you can’t exactly send back such a tempting Christmas present unopened. Just as the two of them finally fall on top of each other on the sofa in front of the Christmas tree, Jonas realizes he’s forgotten something important in the car. He quickly puts his Santa Claus costume back on and disappears out the front door. Nina immediately heads to the kitchen to pop open a bottle of champagne. No sooner is the stage empty than her husband Dirk appears through the patio door in their living room. He’s carrying a bag that—how could it be otherwise—also contains a Santa Claus costume, which he puts on immediately. When Nina returns from the kitchen shortly afterward, she’s surprised by her fitness trainer’s quick return, not realizing that her husband is actually underneath the costume. When she realizes her mistake, panic sets in—after all, the love-struck fitness trainer could return at any moment. Dirk has to disappear as quickly as possible… but where!? As this question is resolved, the Christmas comedy carousel quickly picks up speed, and Nina stumbles from one precarious situation into the next. However, she’s only on the verge of a breakdown when a third Santa finally rings her doorbell. But we won’t reveal who that is just yet. Until the family returns from the nativity play, however—much to the audience’s delight—various comedic obstacles must still be overcome, so that by the end of this farce, nothing stands in the way of a “silent night.”
Don’t miss this evening of comedic girl power, which fits perfectly into the Christmas season. You could hardly present your audience with anything funnier as the year comes to a close!
