Foresters, forest farmers and also the local nature parks are intensively dealing with the situation in the forest.

Many nature experts and forestry specialists from the region are jointly dealing with the current situation and are already thinking about possibilities for what the "forest of the future" could look like here in Südwestfalen and what measures need to be introduced. Here, many aspects, points of view and the concerns of the individual user groups must be taken into account in order to be successful in the long term.

Experts from the nature parks and tourism as well as local forest farmers will talk about the importance of the forest in an economic and tourist context. In addition, research is being conducted at the Center for Forest and Timber Management in Arnsberg on alternative tree species that can better adapt to the changing climate.
