Meschede

Meschede is the district town of the Hochsauerlandkreis and is located directly at the foot of the Hennesee. The landscapes of the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park and the Homert extend around the attractive shopping town. The region around the Hennesee fascinates in every season by the beautiful location in the middle of extensive forests. The vacation area inspires hikers on the Meschede Höhenwanderweg as well as cyclists on the RuhrtalRadweg and the HenneseeSchleife.

The Way of St. James, also known as the Sauerland-Camino on this section, also leads through the Jakobusdorf Remblinghausen.
