Sauerland nature

Bright green in all facets, wide meadows, dense forests, clear lakes and bubbling brooks - the Sauerland, "Germany's inspiring outdoor region", scores above all with its nature and the varied flora and fauna. Breathtaking nature reserves as well as numerous cultural and industrial monuments characterize the region. No wonder, then, that the region is home to three nature parks and a geopark. With their work, they make an important contribution to nature conservation and environmental education and thus promote sustainable regional development.
