From the hiking portal at the Haus des Gastes, the trail leads up to the Alte Grimme, continuing to the "Schöne Aussicht" viewpoint. Past the Zeche Elend mine down into the Orketal valley to the deserted Wernsdorf church and on to the Ehrenscheid mill and then back to Elkeringhausen to the starting point.

Follow the route of the Winterberg Hochtour (WHT) to the Ehrenscheider Mühle, from there follow trail A1 to the starting point at the Haus des Gastes.
