Young and old alike will find newly designed Kneipp and spa facilities, hammocks, Lenne balconies, an exercise park and a meditation hollow to switch off and relax right next to the Lenne.
Children can let off steam at the water playground or the boathouse. The Bike-O-Drom or two playgrounds are ideal for joint activities.
The Kneipp spa town of Saalhausen, idyllically situated in the green valley of the Lenne, is one of the most beautiful and densely wooded places in the Sauerland with the districts of Gleierbrück and Störmecke. Here you can still take a deep breath!
From the tourist information office in the Kur- und Bürgerhaus, walk towards the "Bogenbrücke" bridge (over the Lenne) and then follow the footpath parallel to the Lenne towards TalVITAL Park. Pass Steelenplatz (Lenne-Wasser-Platz) and follow the signs towards TalVITAL-Kurpark over the Lenne bridge past the Hotel Voss (currently under construction, replacement bridge for pedestrians). In the TalVITAL park, follow the path along the Lenne to the wooden bridge. Cross this and then walk past the water labyrinth in the direction of the "Wald-Kneippanlage". Follow this path to the "Bräukelchen" rest area until you reach the road. There, turn right onto "Birkenweg" in the direction of the TalVITAL spa park. Pass the multifunctional square and the Kneipp facility "Wassertretbecken" and follow the signs to the Kur- und Bürgerhaus (TouristInfo).Barrier-free route description:The barrier-free tour starts at the parking lot of the Kur- und Bürgerhaus in Saalhausen. There are plenty of spaces available here. You walk past the overview maps on the left, on an asphalted path, towards Steelenplatz. Continue over the Lenne, following the cycle path signs. From the first houses, go straight ahead and follow the "TalVITAL" signs to the bridge. Cross the bridge and immediately turn left towards the spa gardens, past the Hotel Voss. From here you walk on a water-bound surface - a very well paved and wide path. You walk past the weir with the fish ladder towards the treading pool. Turn left here and a little later take the left-hand path again until you reach the wooden bridge. Cross this and then keep right past the water labyrinth and playground. The surface is asphalted again after the bridge. Now follow the path to the right, towards the forest Kneipp facility, past the "Bräukelchen" barbecue area/rest area. Here you also have the opportunity to use the rest area. Continue along the path until you reach the road and then turn right onto the sidewalk, along the road until you re-enter the Kurpark on the right-hand side. From here, the path is gravel again (water-bound surface). Go straight ahead here and you will reach the multifunctional square. On your way through the park, there are many places to sit and rest. There is plenty to discover on your tour, from playgrounds and water features to small, beautiful and idyllic lakes. Let yourself be surprised and try out the many offers. Cross the multifunctional square, keep right and then immediately left. You will reach the water treading pool again. The path leads you past here back to the fish ladder, the Hotel Voss and over the Lenne bridge, which you cross. From the bridge, the path is asphalted again. Then immediately turn left into the street "Metten Hof", past the houses and the Steelen, to your starting point, the parking lot at the Kur- und Bürgerhaus.Walking time: approx. 1 hour 15Short descriptionThe TalVITAL loop is a barrier-free trail through the Kurpark. You can experience the tour actively or passively. Seating and hammocks are scattered throughout the park. You can take advantage of the many offers, such as the water treading pool, music pavilion etc., or simply relax and watch. There are plenty of water games and a lovely playground for children. Young and old can enjoy a unique stay in the spa park together. You can round off your stay in the park with a stop at one of the restaurants.
You should always set off accompanied by friends or relatives without disabilities. On some tours, there are longer uphill and downhill sections where support from a companion is useful and necessary. Remember that you are out and about at your own risk! The actual suitability of the tours naturally depends very much on the respective restrictions, age, weather conditions and, last but not least, the equipment available (e.g. electric scooter, baby carriage, etc.). It is therefore unfortunately not possible to provide generalized information that is suitable for everyone. The information on the duration or difficulty of the tour can therefore only serve as a guide.
When checking the routes, we have made sure that cell phone coverage is as complete as possible. In emergencies, our green and white rescue point signs on the posts will help you to indicate your position in the event of an emergency call.
