A total of 17 kilometers of slopes with guaranteed snow, toboggan runs, magnificent panoramic views, floodlit runs, ski and snowboard schools, children’s areas, and ski rental shops: In Willingen, winter sports enthusiasts of all ages can enjoy runs down the Sauerland’s longest slopes, stretching over two kilometers down into the valley. The K1, currently Germany’s most modern chairlift, takes riders up to the approximately 1,600-meter-long slope at Köhlerhagen. Those who want to ski in peace can use the early-bird ticket daily starting at 8:30 a.m. Night skiing is available every Wednesday and Friday starting at 6:30 p.m. Away from the slopes, ski lodges guarantee a rustic atmosphere and a great vibe. Family-friendliness is a top priority in Willingen: Ski passes for kids up to five years old are free when accompanied by a paying adult. And 1,700 parking spaces are available to winter sports enthusiasts at no charge.
