On the 1.2-kilometer-long walking trail along the river, you’ll learn a lot about the changes in agriculture in the region, how old water mills used to operate, and how people have used the Wenne River. The trail ends at the Esmeckestausee, which features a swimming cove and a large grassy area for sunbathing. So, don’t forget your picnic basket and swimsuit!
