The goal here is to turn reading aloud and exploring local nature into an experience. In Grevenbrück, you can now “read while walking” through entire picture books. Starting from the trailhead, you can immerse yourself in the story along a walking path that’s stroller-friendly.

Properties:
An entire picture book is presented across seventeen stations. You can either read the printed texts aloud or come up with your own stories to go with the illustrations.
To kick off the project, you can “read” the picture book story of Furzipups, the Rattling Dragon. As soon as the stations are updated with new content, announcements will be posted on the Ratz & Rübe Kindergarten website and on its Facebook and Instagram pages.
Then it’s time once again to put on your shoes, grab your snack backpack, and off you go.
The Veischede Picture Book Trail is run by volunteers. Thanks to various grants, the Lennestadt Grevenbrück Parents’ Association was able to purchase the weatherproof stations.
The trail leads through the Bonzel Sports Park, past the Veischede River and green meadows.
This makes reading in nature a real pleasure!
