To the Buchenwald
Venue
The historic venue “Buchenwald” was built in 1895 as a restaurant for day-trippers. Its location in the immediate vicinity of the vast state forests in Welver, with their majestic beech and oak groves, gave the restaurant its name. In 2020, the inn underwent extensive restoration and was converted into an authentic, multifunctional event venue.

Whether it’s weddings, corporate events, Christmas parties, or birthdays—the “Buchenwaldsaal,” with its vintage and industrial aesthetic, offers numerous possibilities for unique events. The hall can accommodate 50 to 400 guests. The spacious property, including the romantic outdoor area with mature trees, is highly versatile.
Our beautiful, Baroque-style “wedding room” is available for official civil weddings. Of course, non-religious wedding ceremonies are also possible here.
Smaller groups can be accommodated in our fully equipped “Museum Restaurant” or the picturesque “Music Room,” adorned with stucco.
