The Listerhof
Equestrian Sports
At the Listerhof in Meinerzhagen, horse lovers of all ages learn how to properly care for horses. This includes everything from feeding, grooming, bridling, and saddling, to tending to the horses after a ride, caring for the tack, stable work, and, of course, riding. Our guests spend their time with the horses from morning to night. Here, a riding lesson doesn’t just last 60 minutes—it actually lasts the whole day.
Properties:
We welcome girls and boys ages 8 and up, as well as entire families, individuals, and small groups. For larger groups, school classes, and clubs, we can arrange rooms and apartments at the nearby Lieberhausen Vacation Center.
Evening rides are just as routine for our horses as full-day rides, orientation rides, or New Year’s rides.
We offer our guests the opportunity to participate in courses and exams such as the “Handling” or “Riding” horse handling license, RA10–3, LA5–3, trail riding badge, or groundwork badge, as well as special courses such as classical dressage or fall training.
Other recreational activities include swimming, boating on our on-site pond, night hikes, table tennis, barbecues, campfires, guest tournaments, game nights, foosball, and a Carrera racetrack.
