The history of the “Stütings Mühle Historic Ensemble” dates back to the late Middle Ages. A document from 1307 already mentions a “mill located near the town”; since 1983, individual parts of the complex have been repeatedly restored and modernized.
In 2020–2021, the Wester River was restored in the area surrounding the site, the Westertal Bike Path was built, and the historic tunnel bunker was reopened to the public. Today, the ensemble invites hikers and cyclists to linger and offers informative and exciting insights into the past through guided tours and visits.
The grounds are freely accessible during the day until nightfall.
Access to the buildings, technical facilities, and restricted areas is only possible or permitted as part of guided tours and visits, for which a fee is charged.
