The previous church was demolished in 1901. It features a north and a south sacristy. An old keystone was set into the arch above the organ loft. It depicts the Bredelar monastery coat of arms and, on the right, the abbot’s coat of arms of the Cistercians, who exercised jurisdiction in the town for a long time.
