The current church was built in 1910–1911. The church tower had already been built around 1750, along with the predecessor to the present-day nave.
The historic parish church of St. Cosmas and Damian, home to the "Black Hand"—a mummified girl's hand—which has been the subject of numerous legends since its discovery in 1722.
