Sauerland Rothaargebirge Nature Park

The aim of the Sauerland Rothaargebirge Nature Park is to protect the natural landscape, its cultural heritage and biodiversity in the nature park and preserve it for future generations. Its work is based on four pillars: protecting nature and maintaining the landscape, promoting recreation and sustainable tourism, nature and environmental education as well as education for sustainable development (ESD) and promoting sustainable development in the region.

If you would like to discover the nature park, we have several options for you:
Discovery tours Our qualified nature park guides offer a variety of guided tours on nature, local history, history and sport for all age groups throughout the year. There is something for everyone. Actively experience nature The numerous hiking parking lots in the nature park invite you to actively explore the region. Whether on foot or on wheels - the entire region is well developed with walking, nature and culture active experience hiking or cycling trails. For example, on our hiking flagship, the Sauerland-Höhenflug. Trekking If you want to spend the night legally in the great outdoors, you can do so on our trekking sites. The sites can be booked from April to November at: www.naturpark-trekking.de

Please note: The Sauerland Rothaargebirge Nature Park is a 3830 km² protected area that extends over the district of Olpe and large parts of the Märkischer Kreis, Hochsauerlandkreis and Siegen-Wittgenstein.
There is no entrance and the address given is the office address, without advice.
