Properties:
The Waldbühne is surrounded by trees in Lüdenscheid’s city park. The stage is about 50 meters wide, and the audience seating is arranged in terraces that wind up the slope.
The Waldbühne was inaugurated on July 12, 1936, with a performance of William Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew.”
However, after the war ended, it gradually fell into obscurity. In 2004, the summer theater resumed its performances.
