Lohne Mill / ABU District of Soest

The 1-hectare mill pond, the source pond of the Ahse, has powered the four-storey grain water mill since the early 1900s, the core of which has been preserved. The Lohner Teichsmühle is now home to the ABU Station Soest - original, useful, interesting - learn interesting facts about the flora and fauna of the Soest Börde!

The ABU Station Soest (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Biologischer Umweltschutz) is a nature conservation association that was founded in 1977 and currently has around 500 members.
