In the middle of the 19th century, a Way of the Cross with 14 stations depicting the Passion of Jesus was laid out on the Elsenberg. A chapel was built at the end of the path and the foundation stone was laid in 1867. Since then, the Elsenberg has been called Kreuzberg. The chapel was extensively restored in 1986.
