The Willingen/Hoppecketal/Gebrannte Wamecke Hiking Parking Lot is a convenient hub for hikers in the lower Hoppecketal valley and an ideal starting point for nature hikes around Willingen. From here, various hiking trails lead through the “Wanderbares Deutschland” quality region, offering delightful opportunities for both short walks and extended hikes. Particularly appealing is the start of the trail to the 843-meter-high Langenberg, the highest mountain near Willingen. The surrounding area combines the typical Upland low-mountain landscape with quiet forest paths, expansive highlands, and nature trails. An information board provides guidance on the hiking trails in the area, while a seating area invites visitors to take a short break or enjoy a picnic. As a meeting place, rest area, and gateway to Willingen’s hiking trail network, the hiking parking lot serves as a convenient starting point for exploring nature in the Hoppeck Valley.
