The right-hand side of the Lange Kamp (viewed from the Lenne) offers free parking. It's a good idea to leave your car here and walk to Burg Altena (10-15 min with incline), the adventure elevator (12 min), the wire museum (5 min) and the town centre (5 min).

The path to Burg Altena is also marked with a white H on a black background as an access route to the Sauerland-Höhenflug long-distance hiking trail from here, but is also signposted with classic signposts.
