Gut Listringhausen is one of two knights' residences in Meinerzhagen. The first documentary mentions date back to 1621. In this context, the then owner was granted recognition as a knight's estate by the Elector of Brandenburg, who also owned the nearby Badinghagen Castle at the time.

The manor house is now privately owned and can therefore only be viewed from the outside. The entire building underwent extensive restoration in 1903, as a result of which only a few elements of the original historic structure remain. Nevertheless, the ensemble of main and outbuildings conveys an impression of the estate's former importance.

not far from Gut Listringhausen is the scenic Genkeltalsperre, which is ideal for walks and hikes. The Bergischer Panoramasteig and the Sauerland-Höhenflug circular trail also run along the dam, making it an ideal place to combine nature and culture.
