The single-storey manor house with its baroque portal decorated with coats of arms was built in 1738 according to plans by the master builder Michael Spanner (Erwitte), who also built the Grafschaft monastery, the abbey building in Liesborn monastery and the old town hall in Rüthen

, and has been owned by the von Spee family since 1912
