On display are, among other things, the evolution of chainsaws, old tools, historical photographs, documents, and old maps of the former Latrop Forest District. Information panels provide details on the history of the village of Latrop under the titles “Latrop: A Forest Village” and “The Development of Tourism.”
There is a lovely children’s playground and a wading pool right nearby.

Directions From the Olpe exit on the BAB, drive through Lennestadt to Fleckenberg. Turn right here and continue for 7 km to Latrop. From the east, drive to Schmallenberg through the tunnel to Fleckenberg. Parking A limited number of parking spaces are available at the village hall. Public Transportation Bus line 466 runs through Latrop, as does the Schmallenberg Sauerland Hiking Bus (check the schedule). Schedule information: www.rlg-online.de.
