Here, the municipality of Bestwig makes approximately 2 km of Ruhr river sections—managed by the fishing club—available to visitors to the municipality. Day permits cost 20 euros and are issued only to fly fishermen.
A maximum of three fish may be caught per day. The minimum size is 25 cm for trout and 30 cm for grayling. The season runs from June through mid-September.
