Fascinating, vivid information makes the museum appealing to young and old alike. Here, the past and present come to life. Display panels allow you to vividly trace our planet’s history through the ages. In the recreated exhibition tunnel, you can experience the atmosphere of Dreislar’s 230-year mining history.
For a rental fee of 1 euro, you can use an audio guide. Duration: approx. 1 hour / Languages: German, Dutch, French, and English.
Tip for families: Mission Baryt
The last mine foreman from Dreislar knows many of the mountain’s secrets. Follow his clues and you’ll find the treasure in the museum!
Armed with a tablet and a “toolbag,” you’ll make your way through the museum. You’ll need to solve puzzles, search for clues, and answer questions to find the treasure. The game can be played during regular opening hours.
Usually open from April to October:
Thursday and Sunday from 2 to 5 pm.
Visitor groups of at least 10 people can book an appointment outside the regular opening hours (see the museum website).
